In recent years the huge Tri-Oval of Pocono Raceway, close to Long Pond, Pennsylvania has been tormented by several rainouts which brought disappointment throughout the fans.

The track actually hosts two races per year since 1982 and most of them in these years had been postponed by several hours or shorthened race. Just to name few, This year Chris Buescher has won after 138 laps out of 160 due to Rain, Jeff Gordon won in 2012 after raced only 98 laps due to rainstorms which killed one fan and injuried nine. Most of the times when the main Series comes to this track races are under cloudy weather, which never brings too much hope to complete the predicted 400 miles or 160 laps, in this amazing Tri-Oval.

Pocono Raceway boss said that those fan who purchase a ticket for any of those two races when NASCAR comes will be reimbursed the value of the ticket. As well Grand Stand seats and Pit  passes go through the same procedure.

The program called Worry-Free Guarantee provides a reibursement even if the race is postponed to next days due to rain and if the fan cannot make it for some personal reason he/she will get the money back within 1 or 2 months after the races.

For the next season the Sprint Cup Races are scheduled on June 7 and July 27, considering that this year both races have been postpone to Moday due to the huge rainstorms which hitted the track.
